The Enotah Brass quintet takes its name from the Cherokee’s translation for Brasstown Bald, the tallest peak in the state of Georgia. The group is in the form of a traditional brass quintet: two trumpets, horn, trombone, and tuba. All current members are active in their community and are either pursuing or have their degrees in music. Every member of the Enotah Brass fully supports the importance of being a proficient musician in order to be a successful music teacher. With that said, this quintet stresses the importance of music in local high schools and middle schools.

The Enotah Brass performed for the 2012 GMEA District IX honor bands, and also took a tour performing for music students as they were headed to perform in Savannah, Ga for the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) and the National Association for Music Education (NAfME).
Since being founded in 2011, the brass quintet has dedicated itself to performing complex chamber music at the highest level of excellence, while also being comfortable playing many different musical styles.
